Juventus 3 Parma 3: Gervinho snatches late draw after Ronaldo double

Gervinho struck deep into stoppage time to earn Parma a thrilling 3-3 draw at Serie A leaders Juventus.

The visitors fought back from 3-1 down at the Allianz Stadium, where Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice and Daniele Rugani was also on target.

Antonino Barilla headed in for Parma before Gervinho came to the fore, cutting the deficit 16 minutes from time with a neat flick and then firing in a close-range leveller at the death.

With Napoli having won earlier on Saturday, Juve s lead is now nine points, bringing a disappointing week for Massimiliano Allegri s men to an end after Wednesday s 3-0 Coppa Italia loss to Atalanta.

Crystal Palace 2 Chelsea 1: Returning Zaha has Eagles soaring at last

Wilfried Zaha returned to inspire Crystal Palace as the Eagles recorded their first goals and points of the season en route to consigning Chelsea to back-to-back Premier League defeats.

Flying winger Zaha injured his right knee during the opening-day defeat to Huddersfield Town and has been powerless as Palace lost their opening seven league matches without scoring a goal.

Another defeat to nil would have set an unwanted English league record at nine, including one at the end of last season, but Selhurst Park erupted early on when an Andros Townsend cross crept past Thibaut Courtois via a combination of Yohan Cabaye and Cesar Azpilicueta.

Tiemoue Bakayoko was given the freedom of the Palace area to head home his first Premier League goal and level the scores, b…

Cutrone agrees to Fiorentina switch

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Patrick Cutrone has changed his mind and will now be leaving the club during the January transfer window.

He has agreed to a move that will see him join Italian side Fiorentina, which comes just a matter of days after talks broke down with Cutrone returning to training with the Wolves first team squad. Last night, though, talks got back underway with a loan deal being agreed prior to a potential permanent move.

Cutrone has rarely featured in the starting XI this season at Molineux with the likes of Raul Jimenez, Diogo Jota and Adama Traore all keeping him out of the side on a week to week basis.

Watford 1-2 Chelsea: Ziyech keeps Blues on top

Hakim Ziyech ensured Chelsea remained at the Premier League summit with a 2-1 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road on Wednesday.

Emmanuel Dennis equalised before half-time but Mount teed up Ziyech for his first Premier League goal of the season to remove the threat of Thomas Tuchel s men being overtaken by Manchester City or Liverpool.

Wigan handed second four-point deduction by EFL after missing wage bill deadline

The Latics were handed the initial deduction last week in response to two late payments in March and May, with a further four points suspended. An independent disciplinary commission required funds equal to 125 per cent of the club’s forecast monthly wage bill to be paid into a nominated account by Wednesday, but that has not been done.

As a result, the additional sanction has been enforced.

Dean Smith believes Leicester can immediately bounce back from relegation

Dean Smith says Leicester have the capability to bounce straight back to the Premier League after they were relegated on Sunday.

The Foxes became just the second former champions to drop out of the division, joining Blackburn in 1999, as their 2-1 final-day win against West Ham was not enough to keep them in the division due to Everton’s victory over Bournemouth.

They went 2-0 up thanks to goals from Harvey Barnes and Wout Faes, with Pablo Fornals pulling one back for the Hammers, but it counted for nothing.
